Cornelia de Lange Syndrome

A Second Case is Reported in the Negro

Department of Pediatrics, Tulane University, Charity Hospital, New Orleans, Louisiana

This represents only the second case of the de Lange syndrome among Negroes in the Pediatric literature. This is, in addi tion, the first report to stress laboratory in vestigation of the syndrome. To date, the diagnosis has been made merely on morpho logic features, but this author cites a Beta globulin deficiency and hyposthenuria as possible "obligatory" or "coincidental" fea tures of this syndrome.
