Approaches to Child Rearing: Their Effects on Child Behavior

An Analysis of Reported Surveys

"This paper presents evidence from the literature to document the thesis that different approaches to child rearing lead to different recognizable behavioral reac tions in some children. We also discuss how parental misunderstandings of these reactions can lead to vicious circle rela tionships that may interfere with their child's development."
