Department of Pediatrics and Human Development, Michigan State University and Hurley Medical Center, Lansing and Flint, Michigan Two cases of fatal neonatal adenoviral type 7 respiratory disease are described. The clinical, laboratory, x-ray, and pathological features of these two neonates and those reported in the literature are highlighted. Suggestions are made regarding how to diagnose this disease early so that the patients can be isolated and further spread of the disease prevented.
