Department of Pediatrics "B", Soroka Medical Center of the Negev, Beer Sheva, Israel An apparently female child was found to have ambiguous genitalia with an enlarged phallus. The sex chromatin was negative. Cultured leuko cytes showed XY karyotype. At laparotomy, a uterus with normal fallopian tubes was found. An intra-abdominal testis on one side and a streak gonad on the other side were also detected, and confirmed by histologic studies.
