Joseph L. Rauh

The authors describe and summarize a two-year experience with psy chiatric consultation for emotionally disturbed adolescents whose primary care was provided by an adolescent clinic or inpatient unit within the Cincinnati General Hospital. Many adolescents with psychiatric problems can be effectively managed by nonpsychiatric physicians and other health professionals if adequate psychiatric consultation is available.
