The Pediatrician and Family Planning in a Very Poar CommunityAn Appraisal of Experiences in the Tufts Delta Health Center, Bolivar County, MississippiDepartment of Community Medicine, College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Rutgers Medical School, New Brunswick, New Jersey 08903 Family planning services should be of prime interest to all pediatricians because of their direct relationship to the health and well-being of mothers and children. Maternal and Child Health Services offer a natural starting place for introduc tion of family planning services. However, family planning should be a part of total family health care for better acceptance, rather than merely a categorical program.
