Department of Pediatrics, House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, N. Y. Medullary carcinoma of the thyroid occurred in a young girl with an unusual facies, neuromas of the lips and tongue, bilateral pes cavus and a slipped capital femoral epiphysis. These abnormalities may rep resent the phenotypic manifestations of a single gene. Patients with this type of face and lips or any of the other findings should be followed carefully for the presence of thyroid and adrenal tumors.
